Screenwriter and consultant Mark Sanderson (aka @Scriptcat) is a veteran of the screenwriting game with twenty years of professional experience in Hollywood. After graduating from UCLA Film School, he wrote and performed live sketch comedy with his own group The Amazing Onionheads, wrote for one of MTVâ€™s most popular shows, eventually sold his first spec, and followed with seventeen writing assignments that have garnered ten produced filmsâ€”the emotionally compelling WWII indie Iâ€™ll Remember April, Lifetime Networkâ€™s An Accidental Christmas and Deck the Halls, the indie noir feature Stingers, action films USS Poseidon: Phantom Below (aka Tides of War), SyFy Networkâ€™s Sea Snakes (aka Silent Venom), and the thrillers Mother of All Lies, Mommy's Little Girl, and Fatal Mistakes. Markâ€™s films have been distributed worldwide, premiered on Lifetime, LMN, SyFy, Fox Family, NBC Universal International, HereTV, The Movie Network, and have opened and premiered at major film festivals.
Markâ€™s long association with Hollywood veterans and award-winning filmmakers dates back to his first produced screenplay, and has since worked with Academy AwardÂ® winning producers, veteran directors, and Academy AwardÂ®, EmmyÂ® and Golden GlobeÂ® acting nominees.
Mark currently has five projects in development including the sci-fi comedy Area 54 with producer Mark Harris (Crash) and the web series Tribulations with producer Julie Helton.
